Role responsibilities:

As a Swimming Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to different skill levels using the Swim England Learn to Swim framework.
• Foster a safe and fun learning environment where students can thrive.
• Maintain high standards of safety and safeguarding practices.
• Collaborate with our friendly team to ensure smooth class operations.

Qualifications:

We welcome applicants with the following:

• Essential: STA or Swim England Level 1 or 2 qualification in Swimming Teaching.
• Desirable: A rescue qualification (NRASTC or NPLQ).
• For the right person, even if you are new to swimming, we can help with the training necessary to become a fully qualified swimming teacher. 
• Previous experience working with children is preferred but not mandatory, training is available for the right candidate.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for teaching and learning.

Our children’s swimming lessons

Our lessons are mainly based at Northampton School for Girls (NSG), Spinney Hill Road, Northampton NN3 6DG and at Northampton School for Boys (NSB), Billing Road, Northampton NN1 5RT. With smaller class sizes and more teachers in the water than other swim schools, you get time to focus on doing what you love – teaching! 

We only employ the best which is why we invest heavily in our team, with both in-house and external ongoing training and offer to either fund or part fund continuous professional development. Many of our teachers started with no prior swimming history, only to go on to become professional swimming teachers for us.

Water Wizards Swim School recognises the responsibility for safeguarding children belongs to ALL those who work directly with, or have responsibility for, children at Water Wizards Swim School.
